Creative Marketing Ideas for Your Next Fashion Campaign

Creative Marketing Ideas for Your Next Fashion Campaign

There always seems to be a holiday or business milestone right around the corner, which can make coming up with unique and innovative marketing campaigns a challenge. But you don’t have to feel overwhelmed about choosing the right ideas for your business. Try out a few of these campaign ideas.

Holiday Campaigns

New Year’s Day

Create a one-day sale for your newest product or collection. Schedule three to five social media posts on New Year’s Day to share information about the sale and direct customers to subscribe to your email list to get the discount code.

Valentine’s Day

Ask your followers to post a photo of their significant other and share how they met for a chance to win a special gift set to give them on Valentine’s Day. Start the campaign a few weeks before February 14th so you have time to select a winner and send them the gift.

Mother’s / Father’s Day

Invite customers to bring their funniest family photos to your store (or pop-up) to save a percentage on their purchases. Share the photos in your Instagram stories.

Black Friday / Small Business Saturday / Cyber Monday

With the flood of sales during the holiday season, it’s a wise idea to keep it simple for your customers. Organize a sale of gift items that lasts from Friday to Monday and use one coupon code for the entire sale. Share social posts about who the gifts are perfect for and spend more time engaging with your followers.

12 Days of Xmas

Highlight one product per day from December 1st to December 12th (allow customers time to purchase and have items shipped) and offer a discount for a special offer (“25% Off” or “Buy One Get One 50% Off”). Set up a sequence of scheduled posts on social media and schedule your emails.

Giveaways

Tie your giveaways to specific holidays, business collaborations, or milestones.

  • Allow customers to order a free (or deeply discounted) item from your last collection with a purchase of a piece from your newest collection

  • Host a contest or raffle to give away an exclusive piece from your new collection

  • Host a style contest for your followers to enter to win a gift card when they post a photo with a special hashtag wearing a piece from your collection

Influencer Collaborations

Instead of hiring models, work with influencers to promote your pieces. Organize a photoshoot, allow them to take over your brand’s Instagram stories for a day, give them a first look at your latest collection or have them publish a blog post about their favorite pieces.

Designer Collaborations

If you’re working on styling looks for your next photoshoot, reach out to local accessory and footwear designers. Share behind-the-scenes posts and Instagram stories and make sure to highlight the brands you’re collaborating with.

Fashion Illustrator Collaborations

Hire (and pay!) a local illustrator and have them draw your pieces. Bonus points for time-lapse videos to post you social channels. Sell the illustrations on your website or offer them to your most loyal customers via your email list.

In-Store or Pop-Up Events

Give in-store or pop-up visitors a special discount when they post a dressing room photo with a unique hashtag and show it to you when checking out.
