Urban Air Market: Seattle
I’d mentally prepared for yesterday all week. Since it’s fashion season, I knew I’d making appearances and tons of events (including a few new ones that I’ve just added to my calendar), but from now on, Saturday, September 10, 2016, will now be known as the day I braved the city of Seattle to attend three different events in about seven hours. It was a long one and I didn’t realize how exhausted I was until I woke up this morning. But I’m glad I survived because it’s only going to get busier from here.
The first of the three events I attended yesterday was Urban Air Market: Seattle at Occidental Square. It was the first time the event was held in Seattle. My main reason for going was to do a little booth shopping on a beautifully sunny day. And aside from a few creepers, it was a very nice (and well-attended) event. I spoke with many of the vendors about their pieces and made sure to grab some of their business cards. Some of my favorite vendors included Amy Margaret, House of Wolves, JMccormick Designs, Juice by Debra Kendrick, McCarthy Jewelry, and Kahini.
After making a few laps, I decided to explore Pioneer Square a bit by taking a stroll up 1st Avenue where I found the fabulous vintage-style boutique, Dollz & Dames. I loved their selection of dresses and skirts, but after eyeing the shoes that were on sale a bit too long, I dragged myself out of the shop and on to the second event of the day, the "Fall Into Fashion" Show.
