New York Fashion Academy 12th Annual Runway Show
My final event of yesterday was, of course, the New York Fashion Academy 12th Annual Runway Show. I attended the event last year and was beyond impressed with the level of talent displayed by the students. This year, I expected no less and finished the night pleased with the collections from the eleven designers. I didn’t take too many photos because I was so consumed with all of the fashion going on before my very eyes, but here are a few of the shots I managed to snap.

Emily Zunser: Zunser Designs
Zunser Designs presents Here Be Dragons, a costume line for women who fight their own battles and slay their own dragons.
John Avery: Contra/Positive
Contra/Positive is a line of menswear that is urban, street-inspired, and a bit different. Emphasizing exaggerated shapes and textures, our shirts, pants, and jackets are edgy yet sophisticated.
Rebecca S. Peterson: CUP & PENNY - Moss Collection
CUP & PENNY is a lifestyle brand focused on conscientious fashion design, inspired by the colors and textures of the Pacific Northwest.
Samantha Savage: Savage Society
A clothing label designed and made in Seattle, that takes inspiration from the romance of the feminine form and seeks to create better quality clothing with attention to detail.
Jodi Mudgett: Jodi Mudgett Clothing
Jodi Mudgett Clothing makes vintage-inspired cool, confident, sexy clothing for ladies who want to feel like they are on a rock-n-roll holiday, every day. We are inspired by vintage fabrics and use them as often as possible.
Shea Hazzard: Whispers of Kings and Queens
Whispers of Kings and Queens is an evening wear line that is made with delicate fabrics in rich colors that are comfortable and easy to wear full of elegance that will be noticed in a crowded room.
Shelby Kiel: Foster ROE
Foster ROE dresses confident and unique women that are not afraid to stand out in a crowd and show their personality through their clothing choices. Each garment is made with attention to detail, and is made with natural fibers with bold black and white prints, and pops of red and blue. Foster ROE’s inspirations for this collection were singers Boy George and Melanie Martinez.
Adine van Hulst: Evangeline Designs
The Lady Lace collection was inspired by Adine’s passion for fancy couture evening gowns and elegant bridal gowns. She designed each piece for the lady who desires to make a statement at a special occasion or stand out at a fancy private event. After that special evening out, this fancy lady can wear her elegant dress for a night out on the town or to a cocktail party with the girls.
Amy Elliott
Amy Elliott is an independent apparel brand that creates modern, casual separates. The brand caters to the individual that appreciates clean lines with a unique twist.
Brandy Cole: Brand Dee
Brand Dee is for the young, fun fierce independent women who like to go out with their friends and have fun. Focusing on getting you the perfect fit so you feel confident and happy with your body.
Samantha Martin: House of Gaud
House of Gaud makes vintage-inspired ready-to-wear clothing for non-casual people.
New York Fashion Academy
The New York Fashion Academy, now in its thirty-eighth year, is a post-secondary vocational training school certified by the Workforce Training and Education Coordinating Board of Washington State. The New York Fashion Academy offers a certificate program that provides vocational training for students who are either seeking an entry-level position as an assistant designer in an existing business or seeking to establish their own fashion business as a design entrepreneur.
