#RunwayReimagined presented by Value Village

Value Village partnered with Eco Fashion Week to produce #RunwayReimagined, a fashion show focused on celebrating reducing, reusing, and recycling – and re-imagining – clothing. Along with Eco Fashion Week, sponsors included Gene Juarez, La Biosthetique, Dry Sparking, and Cono Sur.

Canadian fashion designer, Carlie Wong took on the 68-Pound Challenge to present at the fashion show. Each piece of her evening wear collection was created using 68 pounds of recycled textiles. Next year, the challenge will be raised to 81 pounds. Zulily Editorial Stylist, Alyssa Blanco and Fashion Stylist, Karla Ortiz celebrated Thrift Style by curating runway looks from Value Village clothing.

Eco Fashion Week

Bringing in more than a trillion a year in revenue, one might wonder what it takes to make it so successful. As it turns out, quite a lot: the resources of healthy ecosystems—fresh water, clean air, robust biodiversity, productive land—and the stability of just societies. So as the third most environmentally damaging industry in the world, one might also wonder what its fashion leaders are doing to promote the kind of sustainability necessary for their long-term viability. The 10th Eco Fashion Week will take place April 9 - 14, 2016 in Vancouver, B.C. Visit ecofashion-week.com for more information.
