A Warm & Peaceful Birthday Vacation
I'm a summer baby, which means I thrive in warm weather. So surviving the last decade in Seattle's cold, wet, and dark atmosphere has done a number on my personality. Gone was my light, fun personality, and in its place, stood a bored, melancholic demeanor. Ugh.
I'm so over it. I needed straight heat on my skin so I decided to ring in my 36th year in the desert, literally. After scouring the web (and Google Maps) for desert spa resorts, I found ADERO Scottsdale Resort. I used my travel points from my credit card and away I went. Yay!
I have nothing but excellent things to say about this resort. The food at the on-site restaurant was delicious, my massage was so relaxing, and my private cabana by the pool was just what I needed to completely shut my brain off, enjoy the summer sun, and recharge. No notes.
I'm already planning my return next year.
