Moorea Seal x Cone + Steiner 2018 Fall Fashion Show
Moorea Seal hosted its first fall fashion show last Friday at their downtown 1st Avenue boutique in partnership with their neighbor Cone + Steiner. Although the event got off to a fashionably late start, I was glad that I forced myself to trod three blocks downhill barefoot to attend the show (I had trouble finding a parking spot and knew I would break my ankles trying to walk downhill in my new Christian Siriano pumps.)
Guests were treated to wine, delicious fall treats, and a fabulous runway show featuring local models, some of whom were frequent shoppers of the boutique. My only Moorea Seal shopping experience happened about three years ago when I strolled into their old 3rd Avenue location and purchased the most darling Leo astrological star ring (a ring that I vaguely remember losing in the restroom at one of my previous places of employment). It was great to see the shop involving the community in the event.
All of the models were styled with pieces readily available in the shop. I noticed that the overall theme included lots of warm and neutral tones, but I love that the looks didn't shy away from bold prints and patterns as well. After the show, guests were corralled into Cone + Steiner to refresh their drinks and check their raffle tickets for the chance to win some pretty awesome prizes, including one night in a deluxe suite room at the Hilton Seattle, one night at the Alexis Hotel, dinner for two at the Bookstore Bar and Café and dinner for two at All Water Seafood and Oyster Bar.
I didn't win anything, but I made sure to add All Water to my list of new restaurants to try. Finally, the boutique re-opened for shopping and I almost talked myself into purchasing a new Leo astrological star necklace, but I decided to put it down at the last minute telling myself that I didn't need to have it. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this event and I look forward to attending more events there.
