Nordstrom Bellevue Fall 2017 Beauty Trend Show
My first experience with Nordstrom's Beauty Trend Show was in Spring 2017. I just happened to find a list of upcoming Nordstrom events on their website and I RSVP'd to cover the event for FGI Seattle. Since I lived in Tacoma at the time and the show was in Bellevue, I decided to make a fancy night of it by staying at the Hyatt Regency in Bellevue so I wouldn't have to wake up super early to make it to the city on time.
Luckily, I moved to Renton earlier this year, so I was able to get up a reasonable hour on a Saturday morning to get to the show. I enjoy it because it's a showcase of the latest trends from the top beauty brands at Nordstrom. Brand reps (who often travel to New York, London, and Paris for their respective fashion weeks) share information about featured products and offer special giveaways (handed out by some very handsome male models). And of course, these top beauty trends are paired with the top fashion trends for the season.
Hosted by Nordstrom's Regional Beauty Director, Joelle Russo, the show's themes included Trending Techniques from Clarins, Laura Mercier, Kiehl's Since 1851, Bobbi Brown, Drybar and MAC Cosmetics; Bold Berries & Decadent Browns with Tom Ford, NARS, Diptique, Dior and Charlotte Tilbury; and Soft & Smoky with Kate Somerville, Chantecaille, Lancôme, Trish McEvoy, Estée Lauder and Jo Malone London.
