Nordstrom Spring 2017 Beauty Trend Show
On Saturday, March 25th, Nordstrom Bellevue hosted the Spring Beauty Trend Show. The show opened with gift bags and highly alert Nordstrom employees welcoming us to the event. Of course, coffee was available along with some yummy breakfast treats.
Hosted on the third floor of the department store by Joelle Russo, Nordstrom’s Beauty Director, the show featured a DJ handing out fabulous beauty giveaways like nobody’s business and beauty experts from the top brands in the world. Models displayed samples of the products while wearing pieces that could be found on the racks of the department store.
Some of the best presentations included experts who had personal ties to the products. The owner of Plume Hair & Lash Science, Lauren Bilon, shared her Lash & Brow Enhancing Serum, a product that started in her kitchen after experiencing significant postpartum hair and eyelash loss. Or Tia, a veteran Bobbi Brown makeup artist, who got to name a color of the Art Stick Liquid Lip after her daughter, Azalea, as part of the Product Development team.
Other brands featured included Estee Lauder, Trish McEvoy, Laura Mercier, Charlotte Tilbury, Kiehl’s, Frederic Malle, Chanel, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Diptyque, NARS, MAC, Lancome, Raffaele Ruberto Skin, Chantecaille, Clarins, Tom Ford, BKR, Kate Somerville and Drybar. After the show, the guests were treated to an open floor to test new skincare and beauty products, and of course, use their $20 Nordstrom gift cards. The Chanel counter seemed to draw our attention with their large assortment of Rogue Coco Glosses.
